Weber State defeats top-seeded Idaho State, advances to championship game

GREELEY, Colo. - Weber State softball closed out the day against No. 1 Idaho State with a 5-2 victory. Taking down the number one seed, the Wildcats have advanced to play in the championship game on May 10. Weber State came out strong, putting up three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Sadie Kirk opened the scoring with an RBI double, followed by an RBI single from Olivia Birkinshaw, who then later came around to score unearned.
