North Stokes rallies late to edge Union Academy

DANBURY — North Stokes mounted a stunning comeback with six runs in the final two innings to defeat Union Academy 6-5 on May 9 in the second round of the NCHSAA 1A State Playoffs. Trailing 5-0 entering the bottom of the fifth, the Vikings' offense came alive with three runs in the inning and then added three more in the sixth to secure the victory.
