Baseball Stung in Ninth Inning of Rain-Delayed NCAA Opener
BALTIMORE, MD – The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) baseball team fell 6-5 to Rutgers-Camden in its first game of the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships. Rutgers-Camden earned the victory thanks to a ninth-inning rally that saw the Scarlet Raptors score three times to steal the regional victory. Ayush Krishnappa and Ian Oehlschlaeger each reached base four times for the Engineers. Krishnappa had four hits in five at-bats and Oehlschlaeger logged three hits and drew a walk while producing a team-high three RBI.
