Zach Seigrist’s Walk-Off Homer Lifts Baseball Over Oswego in Regional Opener

BRIDGEWATER, Massachusetts – The Concordia Texas baseball team opened up their first game of the NCAA tournament with a 7-6 instant classic victory over Oswego University. Leadoff man Zach Seigrist launched the walk-off homer, while Otto Franz became the program’s leader in career strikeouts at Alumni Field on Friday. Franz (294 strikeouts), who is also now the program’s leader in innings pitched (329.2), broke Matthew Williams’ previous record of 291 strikeouts.
