Kats close 2025 with loss to FIU

HUNTSVILLE – The Sam Houston baseball team saw its 2025 season come to a close on Saturday afternoon with a 10-5 loss to FIU at Don Sanders Stadium. The Panthers (30-25, 13-13 CUSA) scored three times in the first inning and never trailed, leading by as much as seven runs before the Kats (12-43, 6-21 CUSA) put three on the board in the final frame. Hunter Autrey closed out his Bearkat career with his second straight 3-for-5 day, while Ryan Franden had three hits as well.
