Nationals’ farm team turns incredible triple play

The Fredericksburg Nationals made their parent club proud on Friday night. The Single-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals turned a fun triple play to grab the attention of the baseball world. It started with runners on first and second. The batter hit a sharp liner to second baseman Randal Diaz, who snagged it in the air on his backhand side. Diaz then pivoted to throw to first baseman Carlos Tavares to double the runner off first base.
