Carolina Hurricanes defenceman Charles Alexis Legault is expected to miss three to four months after undergoing surgery on his right hand, the team announced Tuesday. General manager Eric Tulsky said Legault had surgery Monday to repair multiple torn extensor tendons and will be placed on injured reserve. The 22-year-old suffered the laceration from a skate blade during Sunday night’s game in Toronto while he was challenged to a fight by Leafs forward Bobby McMann after a hit on Nick Robertson.
