Alabama A&M Women’s Basketball Falls Short Against UAB 80-56

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Alabama A&M University women’s basketball team went more than six minutes without a field goal in the opening quarter as UAB built a big lead and rolled to a 80-56 victory on Wednesday night at Bartow Arena. Alabama A&M (1-2) shot 22.2 percent in the first quarter and could not slow down a hot-shooting UAB team that went 16-of-32 (50 percent) from the floor and led by 18 at the half. Coriah Beck paced the Bulldogs with 19 points, including 13-of-14 from the free-throw line, along with four rebounds, one block, one assist and one steal.…
