Men’s Hoops Defeats Texas Southern, 77-67

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Big second halves from Mark Drone and DJ Hall helped Texas State (3-2) defeat Texas Southern (0-4) Saturday afternoon by a score of 77-67 from Strahan Arena. Drone finished with a game-high 19 points, 10 of which came in the final 20 minutes. He knocked down 5-of-10 shots and converted 8-of-10 free throws while also recording three steals. Hall totaled 16 points that also included a 10-point second half. The freshman made 8-of-12 shot attempts, grabbed seven rebounds, handed out two assists and posted two steals.
