LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 20 Louisville women’s soccer team (13-4-3) survived a thriller over Kentucky (12-4-5) and advanced on penalty kicks, 1-1 (5-4 PK’s), Saturday afternoon at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. The Cardinals scored an equalizer from Amelia Swinarski in the 79th minute to push it to extra time and then penalty kicks, where Mackenzie Geigle was the hero to advance the Cards to the second round.
