Cypress Breaks Program 200-Meter Indoor Record as Men’s Track and Field Competes at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational
By: Dawnisha Franklin, Athletic Communications Associate BOSTON, Mass. – For the second time this season, senior Charles Cypress (New Windsor, N.Y. / Cornwall) broke a program record, breaking his own 200-meter dash indoor program record on Friday as the Plattsburgh State men’s track and field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The senior sprinter posted an All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Conference (AARTFC) qualifying time of 21.78 seconds, trimming .25 seconds of his old mark for 16th place in a 36-athlete field.
