Houston Not Renewing Longtime Head Baseball Coach Todd Whitting
Houston is not renewing the contract of longtime head baseball coach Todd Whitting after 16 seasons, sources told Baseball America. Whitting was in the final year of his contract. The Cougars went 24-31 and finished last in the Big 12 with a 7-23 mark in league action. A Houston alumnus, Whitting took over the program in 2011 and oversaw one of the most stable stretches in recent program history.
