Kelly Coetzee and Mia Mirana Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

Cullowhee, N.C. – The Western Carolina women’s tennis team was named a 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic team this week, with freshman Kelly Coetzee and junior Mia Miranda earning individual honors for the first time in their WCU careers. The team’s academic honor is the second in three seasons for the Catamounts. WCU has also had a women’s tennis student-athlete recognized for the 13th time in 14 seasons. To qualify as an ITA All-Academic team, squads must have a combined grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher, with individuals requiring at least a 3.50 GPA to earn recognition.…
