Ranking the top 10 Dallas Mavericks players of all time
DALLAS (BVM) – Since entering the NBA in 1980, the Dallas Mavericks have always featured some tremendous talent. Their success began early on in their existence as the Mavs reached the postseason in six of seven seasons under the direction of Dick Motta and John MacLeod during the 1980s.
After some down years in the 1990s, the 21st Century has seen the Mavs become perennial playoff contenders under the direction of owner Mark Cuban. In 2011, that culminated with the franchise’s first and only NBA championship.
It’s many players from that championship team, as well as their winning years in the ‘80s, that make up some of the best players to take the floor in Dallas. Here are the top 10 Mavericks of all time.
