The Point Pleasant Challenger Flag Football program allows players with special needs to experience the camaraderie and benefits of football in a unique way. While most programs limit players to the age of 21 or younger, Challenger has 32 members ranging from 7 to 34.
When the NFL and NAIA announced an agreement to launch women’s flag football programs in league schools, Milligan University was one of the first to sign on. Being at the forefront of the launch, Milligan hopes the sport will bring more interest from its female students.
After getting its start with funding from the Atlanta Falcons in 2018, girls flag football has joined the varsity ranks in the GHSA for fall 2020.
