The St. Teresa Bulldogs may have had to wait a long time to start their football season, but they are taking full advantage going 5-0 as the No. 1-ranked team in the IHSA’s Class 2A.

R.J. Walker is the son of a former college basketball player and has recently been a star on the court for Decatur Eisenhower High School. Next year, he will follow in his dad’s footsteps after committing to play at the University of Idaho this fall.
Three-time cross country Illinois state champion, Ivy Handley, struggled to continue running after graduating college in 2017. But Decatur’s Fleet Feet training programs have motivated Handley to start running again.
Lexie Huck, a recent St. Teresa High School graduate, won an IHSA state volleyball championship in the fall, but has faced numerous obstacles in preparing for her college career as the coronavirus pandemic has made it more difficult to play the sport she loves.
Seven Sassano is a former girls basketball standout who has played rugby at Dartmouth College the past two years. Meanwhile, her brother, Dominico, has been a defensive lineman for the St. Teresa High School football team over the last four years. Now, he will be taking the same path as his sister to play college rugby in the fall.
