Softball’s Historic Season Comes To End In NCAA Tournament
Kutztown, Pa.—The Mercyhurst Softball team closed out their historic season on Friday against Fairmont State in the NCAA Tournament.
Baseball Knocked out of PSAC Tournament After Losses to Millersville and East Stroudsburg
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Mercyhurst Baseball Team dropped two contests in the PSAC Tournament this afternoon, knocking them out of the bracket. The Lakers began the day with a 6-1 loss to top seeded East Stroudsburg before dropping an elimination game to East Stroudsburg by a 5-0 score.
Surowiec Named PSAC Athlete of the Year, Three Others Earn All-Conference Honors
Lock Haven, Pa.—The PSAC announced their all-conference awards on Friday along with individual awards. Three Lakers have been named to the PSAC West First Team while also having one player on the Second Tea. Josh Surowiec has been named the PSAC West Athlete of the Year after winning the regular season batting title.
Women’s Lacrosse Falls to East Stroudsburg in Opening Round of the NCAA Tournament
EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa – The Mercyhurst Women’s Lacrosse Team dropped their opening round matchup in the Atlantic Region section of the Division II Women’s Lacrosse Tournament on Friday afternoon to the host East Stroudsburg Warriors by a 13-3 score. The loss marks the end of the Lakers 2022 campaign.
Fry and McQuestion Earn All Academic Honors
Erie, Pa.—The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the Academic All District Team for each of the districts. Two Mercyhurst Softball players have earned the honor.
