Sun Prairie’s Isaac Hamm a name to remember as spring football begins
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (BVM) — Although many Wisconsin high schools choose to play football in the fall, there were over 100 that opted to wait until the spring to have their seasons, including quite a few programs that are constant powerhouses in WIAA football.
With all these schools opting to wait until now to play, there are quite a few impressive players that will finally be able to show off their skills not just for the public but for college recruiters.
One of those players is 247sports four-star Class of 2022 recruit Isaac Hamm. A junior at Sun Prairie high school, the 6-foot-5 270-pound defensive end has had over nine offers from DI programs.
In November via Twitter, he cut down his choices to four finalists: Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State.

As a sophomore in the 2019 season, Hamm had 37 total tackles, including 14 tackles for loss with four sacks, two fumble recoveries and one interception.
In their first game of the spring season at their new stadium last Saturday, Hamm and the Cardinals faced off against the Verona Wildcats. With an offense that features University of Wisconsin Class of 2021 running back Jackson Acker, Sun Prairie was able to shut out the Wildcats, 17-0.
Hamm and the Cardinals’ defensive line were pivotal in that shut out causing constant havoc in Verona’s backfield and not giving the Wildcats any time before a Sun Prairie defender was bearing down on them.
The Cardinals will now face Beloit Memorial on April 1 with Hamm and the rest of the Sun Prairie defense looking to build off the momentum from their dominant win over Verona.
