Anthony Pritchard commits to Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (BVM) — Former Tennessee Tech commit Anthony Pritchard will be staying in-state as he has committed to Tulsa University.

He had signed with the Golden Eagles in November of last year, but he had requested a release because he wished not to attend college so far away from home.

The 6-foot-3 guard is among some of the top high school scorers in Tulsa Public School history. He’s averaged 22.9 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. During this historic season, he helped Webster High School reach the Class 4A state semifinals.

Pritchard also helped Webster capture its first conference title since 1992 during the 2019-20 season. During that season, Prichard’s junior year, he averaged 19.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 3.8 steals.

When Pritchard decommitted from Tennessee Tech, he heard from several schools, including Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, and Louisiana Tech, but he ultimately ended up at Tulsa University.

“After much thought and consideration, I have decided to further my academic and athletic career at the University of Tulsa,” Pritchard said in a tweet. A huge thank you to coach Haith and his staff. Also my family, friends, and coaches who have supported me throughout this journey.”
