Nick Giardina has John Jay out to undefeated start
CROSS RIVER, N.Y. (BVM) — The John Jay Wolves football team is off to a perfect 3-0 start to its season after another home victory.
Led by senior quarterback Nick Giardina, the Wolves got off to another promising start, beating Lakeland 35-6 after Giardina delivered 116 yards through the air and another 106 yards on the ground for a total of three touchdowns. The Wolves’ defense almost pitched another shootout, with Lakeland scoring as time ran out.
John Jay has outscored its opponents 91-6 through the team’s three games this season and are looking to build off its 8-1 season last year. The Wolves’ defense is off to an incredible start, only allowing points in the last minute of action in the team’s win over Lakeland. The Wolves’ senior quarterback also rushed for 131 yards on the ground last week against Walter Panas.
The Wolves will look to keep their undefeated season going in their next matchup against Harrison High School.
