Athletes among us: Cole Giacobbe
ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Freshman, Cole Giacobbe is a Tiger roaring on and off the lacrosse field.
A starter for the Kings Ridge Christian School varsity lacrosse team, Cole is consistently one of the top scorers for the Tigers. He also plays midfielder for his travel lacrosse team, Georgia Tigers Elite, or GATE.
After 9 years of lacrosse, the freshman credits hard work for his multiple invitations to play on national teams. He says “putting in the reps,” as his coach always emphasized, helps him take his game to the next level.
A lacrosse-playing family with three boys, Cole says he is inspired by his older brother Dean’s, hard work. Pre-game time, Cole gets pumped up with his favorite song, Empire State of Mind, and remembers his favorite quote by hockey legend, Wayne Gretzky, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
When Cole isn’t playing lacrosse, this Atlanta native enjoys working out, hanging with friends, lake time, and his favorite food, sushi.
