Alternate fall season sectionals begin tomorrow
BEAVER DAM, Wis. (BVM) — The WIAA alternate season is beginning to wrap up with sectionals beginning tomorrow, April 13.
In the Section 1 bracket of the Division I tournament, Sun Prairie enters as the No.1 seed with Deforest as the No.3 seed. Sun Prairie will face Eau Claire Memorial and Deforest will face off against Holmen with the winner facing off for the sectional championship.
All games will take place in Beaver Dam.
Deforest beat Waunakee (3-1) to win their region and advance to sectionals. Sun Prairie beat Ripon (3-0) then Beaver Dam (3-0) to advance to sectionals.
Both teams faced off against each other earlier in the season with Sun Prairie winning 3-1.
The state tournament will begin Thursday, April 15.
