Aidan Manning, Verona Wildcats are a week out from sectionals
VERONA, Wis. (BVM) — The Stevens Point quad took place on April 17 and the Verona Area High School boys cross country team took third at the event.
The Wildcats had three runners place in the top 20, with junior Aidan Manning finishing second. There is one more meet on April 24 at Middleton before the May 1 sectional meet.
Last year as a sophomore, Manning finished 40th at the WIAA Division I state meet with a time of 16 minutes, 36.4 seconds and won first team all-conference honors.
Manning has been building off of that finish as well. In the fall, he finished third at the Ranger XC High School race and earlier this season he won the dual meet against New Glarus/Monticello.
With only one more regular season meet, Manning and the Wildcats are ready for sectionals.
