UVM lacrosse clinch conference playoff berth
BURLINGTON, Vt. (BVM) — After a four–game season in 2020, the Vermont Catamounts are happy to be back to a more normal schedule this lacrosse season.
Off to a 6-4 season with one game remaining on the schedule, the Catamounts are getting ready for the playoffs after clinching a postseason berth with their win over UAlbany. Led by a four–goal effort from junior midfielder Thomas McConvey and a three–goal barrage from senior attacker Liam Limoges, the Catamounts were able to take down the No. 17-ranked Great Danes, 16-14.
“It’s all about how you respond … we really preached that with our guys and I just love how we came out today,” head coach Chris Feifs said of his team’s effort in a press release. “There’s no easy games so hopefully we can get rested and recovered and get two good days of practice in for another tough game on Saturday.”

McConvey and graduate transfer Michael McCormack top the Catamounts in both points and goals. With the two powering Vermont throughout the season, the duo will look to continue their efforts as they head into the conference playoffs.
The Catamounts will close out their regular season with an upcoming matchup against No. 19-ranked Stony Brook slotted for May 1.
