Indialantic Force U10 boys soccer play for more than just the love of the game

INDIALANTIC, Fla. — Located at the heart of Indialantic, Indialantic Youth Soccer Association (IYSA), is more than just a beachside soccer club. Once you are part of a team, not only are you signing up for practice and weekend games, you are signing up for a new group of friends, both for kids and parents!

Such is the case for three boys at Indialantic Elementary: Luke Herman (4th), Marcel Gemmati (4th) and Luca Reynolds (3rd). They are part of a Competitive U10 Boys team lead by Coach Nate Gustafson and assistant coach Justin Hargreaves. Each boy’s story as far as what brought them to this team is a bit different, but they all share one common denominator: the love for soccer!

Luke and his family moved to Indialantic in 2019 from Boulder, CO. Luke started playing soccer when he was 5 in Colorado and joined Coach Nate’s U10 comp team at the age of 8. He alternates between forward and midfielder and is super fast!  “I like everything about soccer. It feels so natural,” commented Luke. “I also like the chemistry we have on the team and how we all like each other and have fun.”

Marcel began playing soccer with IYSA’s toddler program at the age of 3. He joined U10 comp team in 2019. He plays center midfielder and defender. “I like learning how to play as a team together with my friends,” said Marcel.

Luca, the team’s youngest player, joined the team in 2020. He has been playing IYSA soccer since he was 3. Luca has been mostly playing as a forward and developing his skills. He has loved joining this team and feeling welcomed by all the boys.

The team is expanding. To register for try outs go to www.iysasoccer.com starting May 10th.
