Monona Grove boys soccer looking to make a postseason run
MONONA GROVE, Wis. (BVM) — The postseason begins today for the WIAA boys soccer alternate season with regional play and No. 3-seeded Monona Grove High School is looking to make a run deep in the postseason.
The Silver Eagles have won seven straight matches after going 1-1-2 in their first four games. During that time, they have given up just four goals while scoring 34, including 13 in a game against Monroe. Senior forward Connor Bracken led all scorers with four goals in that game.
Monona Grove will look to make it eight straight wins tonight when it plays Madison La Follette at home. The winner of the game will take on No. 2-seeded Madison West in the regional championship for a chance to move onto the sectional semifinal.
The Silver Eagles have made it to state three times in school history with their most recent trip happening in 2004.
