The 6-foot-6, 315-pound offensive tackle was considering offers from other programs such as Memphis, Houston, North Texas, Utah and Ole Miss. However, he ultimately decided to go with the Baylor Bears.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for putting me in the position that I’m in today,” Simpson said in a tweet. “I want to thank my family for sticking with me all this time and I also want to thank all my coaches from little league to high school for teaching me the game and making me the player I am today. With that being said I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Baylor University.”

With this commitment, Simpson joins other offensive linemen commits Timothy Dawn and Coleton Price. He is now the 10th overall commit for the Bears from the Class of 2022. The class currently ranks fourth in the Big 12 Conference.
If they can add a few more pieces, the Baylor Bears could be one of the teams to watch in college football.
