San Ramon HS wraps up spring football with 28-21 win over Monte Vista
DANVILLE, Calif. — Last month the shortened high school football season wrapped up and it definitely didn’t disappoint with a San Ramon High Wolves win against the Monte Vista Mustangs varsity team 28-21: leaving MV 0-6 for the season.
SRVHS ended the season 4-2 – what an elevator ride for these young men when initially facing the possibility of no season whatsoever. I recall seeing many of the players still training in parks throughout the fall and winter, preparing for their return to play. Both teams played the season with heart and should be applauded. Regardless of the records, they played with the cards they were dealt: though like a certain arguably hated head coach would say, “We are on to Cincinnati.” Rather in this case, catching some last games of lacrosse or water polo sounds like a good idea!
Next month’s issue we will definitely be diving into more baseball, basketball and of course soccer! Let’s Go!
