INDIANAPOLIS — The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the SBC “Elite Ballers of Virginia” has been added to its roster of teams for the upcoming season. 

“This is another great addition to our Mid-Atlantic Region,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. “And in Deanna E. Green, we have a very special and very talented new owner.”

Deanna is a fashion designer and spiritual and self awareness consultant who has truly been an inspiration to many people. Living out her childhood dream, Deanna began designing her own collection of business, evening, bridal and intimate apparel. Her peers were not only delighted with the results, they were zealous for this gift to be noticed by others. They classified her garments as unique and peaceful yet bold and powerful. After her noticeable success by the press, and designing for the 1999 MISS TEEN USA PAGEANT, Deanna’s venture became an instant success. Deanna’s company is Strong Black Coffee Fashion & Self Awareness Co.

The team will be co-owned by Lewis “Avery” Green, a former ABA basketball player and community leader who also played internationally. While in college at SU, he finished 7th in the nation in D-3 scoring and 37th in the nation in steals. and led the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in scoring in 2013-2014. 

“We believe we can have one of the best teams on and off the court,” added Green. “Deanna and I know what it takes to be successful – total focus and hard work.”
