Chisago Lakes softball looking to continue playoff run
CHISAGO LAKES, Minn. (BVM) — The MSHSL softball postseason is underway with sectionals coming to an end this week.
Chisago Lakes High School is one of the few teams left and has a matchup with conference rival North Branch in the Section 7AAA winner’s bracket final to see who will move onto the sectional championship game.
The Wildcats have played well all season, going 12-2 in conference play and 18-3-1 overall and are ranked fifth in the state at the 3A level. In their last game of the regular season, Chisago Lakes trailed 1-0 to Princeton before the team rallied to win 4-1, securing its Mississippi 8 Conference title. The team then beat Princeton again in the first round of sectionals and followed that up with a 5-1 over Hermantown in the next round.
The Wildcats will face off against North Branch tomorrow and have already beaten the Vikings twice this year. However, that was back in April and North Branch will be hungry to beat Chisago Lakes.
