Cherry Creek’s Ky Oday Jr. commits to Colorado State
GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (BVM) — Every college football team can benefit from adding speed to its roster, and the Colorado State Rams will certainly be doing that with the addition of Ky Oday Jr. in 2022. The rising Cherry Creek High School senior wide receiver is one the fastest athletes in the state and Monday night he announced that he has verbally committed to play for CSU.
Committed. Thank you to everyone who has go helped me get here. @CoachAddazio @DLpride1 @CoachAlexBailey @mrwashingten #gorams #csu pic.twitter.com/kwRrBMCWOC

Oday Jr. is rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, and as the state’s No. 10-ranked player in the Class of 2022, he also had reported Division I offers from Air Force and Wyoming among others. As a junior for the two-time defending Class 5A state champion Bruins, Oday Jr. played in five games and caught nine passes for 151 yards and scored three total touchdowns, including one on a kickoff return.
The future Ram is a standout sprinter for Cherry Creek. His 100-meter dash time of 10.90 seconds is fifth in 5A while his 200 time of 21.84 is third and his best 400 time of 48.97 is second behind only Centennial senior Langston Williams, a Class of 2021 CSU signee.
Oday Jr., whose father also played Division I college football for Utah State, is the Rams’ second known commit for the 2022 class.
