Karma Farber, 12, is a boxing Olympian in the making

PALM BAY, Fla. — Congrats to Palm Bay ROUND13 Boxing Club who traveled to Lubbock, TX to compete at the 2021 USA Boxing National Junior Olympics and Summer Festival, July 7 thru July 17, 2021. This is the largest Junior Olympics National Boxing event in the USA. Over 1000 participants from all over the globe, and 795 matches contested over the course of 10 days.

Another great performance by the highly-regarded prospect, Karma “Savage Not Average ” Farber. In just 11 months, this 12-year-old has captured one Gold and two Silver Medals in three major national tournaments. She’s the “least experienced” in terms of fights (5) but she proved that she has all the tools to compete at the elite level against the best elite-level competitions. Karma didn’t just compete but outperformed her competitors in three different championships in three different weight classes.

During her latest outing, her opponent pulled out of the tournament and refused to face Karma. This gave Karma a walk-over win and advanced her to the finals. At the finals, she faced the tough Yaretzy Ferratt from California, a heavy favorite to win the tournament. However, from the beginning of the first round thru the end of the third round, Karma’s effective aggression kept Yaretzy back-pedaling and controlling the tempo of the fight.

Unfortunately, the judges awarded Yaretzy the Gold and Karma the Silver Medal. Many fans and sports enthusiasts felt Karma came out on top with the win. These are simply learning experiences for her and she is ready for her next challenge.

Ranked #2 in the USA, she is arguably one of the best youth boxers in the country largely due to her unbelievable skills, work ethics, mindset, and her chemistry with her trainers.

A huge shout-out and a big congrats to Karma’s mom (Niki) for her vital role in her daughter’s accomplishments. Karma Farber is a prospect to keep an eye on in boxing! Just 12 years old and already being looked at as a future Olympian. She’s on a mission, and that mission is to make the Olympics. To make that journey it takes sacrifice. It’s a long rough journey, and it can be a cold one too, but you just got to keep your head up and keep driving through. Judging by her passion and dedication to the sport, it’s clear that Karma will make the 2028 USA Olympic team, and win gold!
