Friday night lights are back at Northgate High
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — The Broncos had a very successful, albeit abbreviated, 2020/21 season in the spring this year going 4 & 1 in their pool. Now they have a significantly shortened off season to prepare for a regular 2021 campaign.
The Broncos open their season against a tough team at Deer Valley in Antioch on August 27. They have their home opener, with anticipation of eased restrictions for fans and a true return to Friday Night Lights, on September 3rd against Ukiah. The Broncos go across town and renew their cross town rivalry at Las Lomas for the Battle of the Creek September 10. The Broncos host Jesse Bethel of Vallejo and then visit Rodriguez September 17 and 24 respectively. League play starts at home vs Berean Christian Friday October 8 and continues at home vs Mt Diablo October 15. The Red Devils are coming off a very successful 2020/21 Football season so this will undoubtedly be a tough matchup. League play continues at Concord October 22nd, at home vs Ygnacio Valley October 29, and finishes November 5th at College Park. The true return to the spectacle that is Friday Night Lights is something we have all been waiting for, see you there!
