RYE, N.Y. (BVM) — Anabelle Thomas emerged as a star at the 2021 Boston girls’ major showcase. She had a great tournament putting the state of New York on her back. Anabelle played consistently at a very high level throughout her time there, gaining more fans and recognition in the process.

The young girl who plays varsity ice hockey in New York for Rye High School proved to be the shining beacon, representing her team in a phenomenal display of grit, determination, and talent at the Tier 1 tournament.

Anabelle and her teammates had an impressive shutout streak. They denied the opposing teams a win in an incredible undefeated run that unfortunately ended when they faced eventual tournament winners the Northern NE.

It was a tough, exciting game that got decided in overtime. It was a heartbreaking moment for the emerging talent who gave everything that she had. Anabelle will be happy to be selected as part of the elite 11 out of 20 girls’ squad to star in the All-star game and the All-Star tournament. She was also recognized as a 3x Tier1 performer.

Rye Hockey is excited for the new season, using this accomplishment from one of their own as motivation to defend their title!
