
Mooresville falls to Decatur Central in crucial conference game
MOORESVILLE, Ind. — The Mooresville Pioneers lost to the Decatur Central Hawks by a score of 41-27. It was Mooresville’s first conference loss on the season for their varsity football team. Star quarterback for Mooresville, Nick Patterson, threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns in a valiant effort for the Pioneers. He also threw two interceptions.
Mooresville had difficulty in the run game against Decatur Central, totaling only 56 rushing yards on 32 carries.
Moorseville is looking to bounce back and continue winning against the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs on September 24. Franklin is 1-4 on the season, having just lost to the Martinsville Artesians by a score of 23-7.
