Mooresville bounces back, clobbers Franklin Community in varsity football

FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Mooresville Pioneers were able to continue their winning ways after suffering a tough loss the week prior. They beat the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs by a score of 45-14.

Star quarterback for the Pioneers, Nick Patterson, was incredibly efficient throughout the game. He threw for over 300 yards with five total touchdowns and no interceptions.

The Pioneers’ receiving core also demonstrated their prowess against the Grizzly Cubs, with four different receivers totaling three receptions or more. Senior wide receiver Logan Jackson exceeded 100 yards in the game.

The blowout win puts the Pioneers back on track to win the conference. They will play at home against Whitefield (2-3) on Oct. 1 at 7:00 p.m.
