Webster Gorloks men’s soccer push win streak to 7 after 10-0 win over Eureka

ST. LOUIS — The Webster University men’s soccer team continues to dominate.

Hosting the Eureka (Ill.) College Red Devils, the Gorloks wasted no time, jumping on Eureka early and keeping their foot on the gas en route to a 10-0 blowout victory, running their streak up to seven games.

The Gorloks split their goals evenly, scoring five in the first half then five more in the second half.

The first five came from Mark Moore (4), James Carr (1), Henok Moges (1), Matt Huster (2) and Justin Kohler (3). Huster and Isaac Pearson racked up assists, as did Carlos Llamas and Aamahn Murvin, who would both later score in the second half.

Jack Thompson (1), Brendan Pagan (2), and Amar Munezinovic (1) scored the remaining goals as Kohler picked up an assist and Noah Abraham recorded three.

Webster used three different goalies in last night’s win. Sriram Chidambaram, Jacob Klevorn, and Matt Coffey recorded the Gorloks’ sixth shutout of the year, while also combining for two saves.

Webster dominated the corners with eight, while outshooting Eureka 42-6.

Webster is undefeated in five games of SLIAC play, with an overall record of 9-1.

The Gorloks will travel to Greenville, Illinois to take on the Panthers in another SLIAC match. The game gets underway at 5 p.m.
