Sienna Mullin is in a league of her own

THORTON, Colo. – Sienna Mullin, a senior, became the first player at Riverdale to hit three home runs in one game, making Lady Ravens HISTORY! She currently has four home runs on the season while hitting 4th in the lineup and canvassing the centerfield position on the defensive side of the ball.

In August, she made history by being able to hit three home runs in one game vs. the No. 8 ranked team in the state! She had three plate appearances and all three were no-doubters as they sailed over the fence!

We often talk about how difficult the game of softball is to learn and play that can take years for the players to grasp. Therefore, players can become very frustrated when they don’t get it right away (like many who have played and continued to have their doubts), and Sienna was that athlete.

However, over the course of the last few years she has shown tremendous growth in her softball skills, but her willingness to become a very strong-minded athlete, especially during times of failure, is the most notable.

Sienna has and continues to work extremely hard on her skills as an athlete, maintaining an impressive GPA as a student-athlete. I wish I could get some of the credit for her success, but honestly, I have none. She has spent countless hours with club coaches and club teams to better herself as a softball athlete. Her family has also been very influential in her success and should be recognized for such.

Her goal is to play at the next level, and there is no doubt she will be made an offer before long, but until then we as a program are excited to share her success with her for the remainder of the softball season.
