Friday night lights are back at San Ramon Valley and Monte Vista high schools
DANVILLE, Calif. — San Ramon Valley HS and Monte Vista HS will go head to head in the last game of the season. This could be a clash of the titans, but let’s just settle down a bit and enjoy the journey.
SRVHS
I’ve witnessed the roster turnover and it’s still stacked with talent. A couple athletes I would like to mention are Tyler Hoffman, #88, who had 5 QB sacks in the game vs. O’Dowd. The defensive line is a force to be reckoned with. The strength of the offensive line, which is anchored by senior, Jackson Brown, #77, who moves the pocket and is doubled at times, is a driving player on the offense. But neither of these players would be mentioned above if it wasn’t for them and their teammates playing as a team. Friday Night Lights is back. Enjoy the journey. Let’s gooooooooo!
MVHS
The new head coach at Monte Vista is a former NFL running back, CJ Anderson. He is bringing the “We, not me” mantra into the building, and I have noticed the change.

The talent is there at MVHS to do something this season. Their senior tight-end, Endries, is balling like George Kittle on both sides of the ball. He’s definitely getting looks from top school scouts as well, but you can feel the loose family vibe in this team’s play and they might surprise a lot more of you.
