Dunedin Flight joins ABA for 2022 season

INDIANAPOLIS — The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the Dunedin Flight has been added to the record number of expansion teams for the 2022-2023 season.

“It’s amazing,” stated ABA CEO Joe Newman, “that our 2021 season is still almost a month away and we already have so many teams lined up for the following year. I think much of the growth can be attributed to Operation Upgrade and the league’s movement to a higher professional level. Our fans will definitely see the difference this season.”

The Dunedin Flight will be owned by Aaron Burt, a Dunedin businessman whose dream has always been to own and coach a professional basketball team. Mr. Burt attended both St. Petersburg College and UTEP prior to starting his career as a Quality Assurance Specialist.

“I plan to learn and grow my knowledge of the sport I love while also gaining experience in the business side of things,” added Burt. “I am more than excited for our team’s upcoming season.”
