Monte Vista HS football, 5-0, is a force on the gridiron thanks to some strong players
DANVILLE, Calif. — 5-0 Monte Vista Mustangs! Let’s just start there, shall we…
Offense is led by QB Dyllan Devitt who has seen his struggles as QB going 0-5 in the previous season, but the growth of this young man’s game has risen. You better bring your A game when playing MVHS.
Devitt can run and pass, which put more pressure on the defense, but he doesn’t have to do it all. He has many weapons to choose from like Rocco Schramm who can really run the rock, and his stiff arm can make defenses look foolish, at times.
Speaking about the other side of the ball on defense, you can’t speak enough about Nick Struempf’s game. He dominates the opposing team’s offensive line. He’s fun to watch.
So back to being 5-0… It equals one thing: #WeNotMe! The Mustangs are playing as one. I may have highlighted a few players above, but these players probably would agree with me in saying it takes a team to be 5-0 and a good coaching staff. Let’s enjoy the journey and see where it leads.
