Normal West volleyball wins Class 3A sectional title
NORMAL, Ill. — Led by Junior setter Sydney Sennett (28 assists), Senior Averie Hernandez (16 kills), and Freshman Ellie Rink (8 digs, 6 kills, and 3 aces), the Normal West Volleyball team won their Class 3A Sectional 25-17, 25-19 against Rochester Wednesday night giving the school their first Sectional title in 22 years.
Coach Kelsey Mueller and her Wildcats are one win away from the State Tournament. They face Taylorville at 7pm Friday in the Super-Sectional match. The winner will play in the semi-final State Tournament match at Redbird Arena on November 12.
