Patrick Henry boys volleyball wins 6th consecutive VHSL state championship
ASHLAND, Va. — The Patrick Henry boys volleyball team won their sixth consecutive state championship on November 19th by defeating Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School, the 4B region runner-up. This win by PH set a new Virginia High School League (VHSL) consecutive title record.
Coach Michael Townsend, who left PH after the 2019 season to spend more time with his family, returned mid-season in 2021 to lead the Patriots to victory once again. The team never lost a game after Townsend’s return, ending the season 23-3.
