Double-overtime for Martin County Tigers boys basketball against Centennial

STUART, Fla. — Talk about a nail-biter! If you didn’t get the chance to see the Martin County Boys Varsity Basketball team go toe-to-toe with longtime rivals, St. Lucie West Centennial, on January 5th then you missed one of the best boys’ varsity games that has been seen in a while. It was an intense showdown culminating into a double-overtime loss for Martin County. The final score was 97-91 with a win to Centennial’s Eagles.

Hosted by St. Lucie West Centennial, Martin County fought their way to the buzzer three times, resulting in some impressive scoring for their players. Leading the Tigers was Elijah Duval with a remarkable 31 points scored. Ryan Davis (44) made several critical passes during the game and scored 25 points. Cameren Insalaco (30) scored ten points, Braydin Samuels scored nine points, and Kamari Haston scored eight.

Be sure to check out February’s action with boys’ varsity basketball. On February 1st Martin County is headed to Royal Palm Beach High School for an away game, and on February 3rd they’ll be playing Treasure Coast High School here at home.
