Pop Warner JV Reno Huskies cheer team takes third at JAMZ National Championships

RENO, Nev. — Congratulations to the Sagebrush Pop Warner JV Reno Huskies cheer team for taking 3rd place at the JAMZ National Championships. You girls killed it out there!

This team of ten girls, ranging from 9 – 13 years old, went up against eight other teams. They shined with their jumps sequence and stunts. The multi-level pyramid stole the show.

To earn a spot in this national competition, hosted at the Las Vegas Orleans Arena, teams had to score higher than 70 (out of 100) in local competitions. The Huskies came away with an easy entry after scoring a 91.

For two women — Veisi Green & McKenna Peters — this marked their last year of Pop Warner cheering. Next year both young women will enter high school.

The Huskies are supported by a team of six coaches who focus on everything from fundraising to athletics.
