Culpeper County Parks & Rec is expanding its facilities to meet growing demands
CULPEPER, Va. — Parks and recreation is a tangible reflection of the quality of life in any community. From offering residents the opportunity to experience a quiet trail walk, vigorous sporting activity, or creative expression class, parks and recreation programs and facilities provide an avenue to create memories and experiences that are accessible by persons of all ages and abilities.
As your local Parks & Recreation Department, we are constantly striving to offer the best programs, services and facilities in order to meet the needs of all Culpeper residents. With subjects including Athletics, Creative Expressions, Enrichment, Health & Wellness, and Paws & Hoofs, Culpeper County Parks & Recreation provides diverse program options that cover all interests and skill levels.
Beyond our unique programming, the Department also maintains and operates numerous public parks and amenities throughout the County including Lenn Park, Spilman Park and the Spilman Disc Golf Course, Culpeper Sports Complex and the Bright Spot Playground, Mountain Run Lake Park, Linda-Kite Cutler Park, and several more.
Through the tireless efforts of our Park Services staff and countless volunteers, these facilities remain pristine for our parkgoers’ enjoyment.
Looking at the growing demand for parks and recreational services, we are expanding. New additions such as the Culpeper County Fieldhouse, Pickleball Courts at Mountain Run Lake Park, and Athletic Field Lighting at the Culpeper Sports Complex will be operational in 2022, allowing for our Department to satisfy its mission of “enhancing the quality of life, assuring the sense of community, and providing leisure services to County citizens of all ages.”
In the end, we are all Culpeper County and together we will continue to make this community an outstanding location in which to LIVE HERE and PLAY HERE.
