The Ooltewah Lady Owls Lacrosse Club was formed in 2017 at the behest of two Ooltewah High School students, Miranda Flanders and Maddie Raughton, after meeting Coach Scott Shepherd at a baseball game.  Their persistence led to the creation of a new club sport at Ooltewah High School.  Scott had coached previously in Knoxville and was excited at the chance to coach a sport he loves once again.  A board was created and the rest is history.

The Ooltewah Lady Owls Lacrosse Club are a community club sport comprising of Ooltewah High School girls who want to learn and play the game of lacrosse. They are a varsity program governed by the Tennessee Girls Lacrosse Association and compete for regional and state titles against teams across Tennessee.

Coach Ashley Shepherd has played lacrosse since elementary school and continued to play four years at the collegiate level at Birmingham Southern College.  She joined their coaching staff in 2018 and brings a wealth of relevant knowledge to the team.
