Lawrenceburg football HC Ryan Knigga named Bengals Coach of the Week

LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. — For the second time, Lawrenceburg High School’s Head Football Coach and Athletic Director, Ryan Knigga, has been awarded the Bengals Coach of the Week (Week 6). The Cincinnati Bengals Coach of the Week program recognizes coaches for their dedication, their successes on the field and for their work in their community. Each honoree received a $1,000 donation for their school’s football program, thanks to contributions from the FNL Foundation and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Coach Knigga led the Lawrenceburg Tigers to a 11-2 season finish and captured their third consecutive 3A Sectional Championship, falling by only two points in the regional finals. Two of Coach Knigga’s senior players, Quarterback Garrett Yoon and Receiver Dahya Patel, were both named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) 3A Senior All-State Team. Named to the IFCA Top 50 All-State players and awarded Indiana’s Offensive Line Mr. Football, Senior Ashton Craig is one of five finalists for the prestigious All-American Bowl’s Man of the Year award. Each finalist selected epitomizes a high standard of excellence in community service and athletic distinction. A true reflection of Knigga’s coaching on and off the field.
