Menomonee Falls takes WACPC state title in medium division
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. — The Menomonee Falls Varsity Cheerleading team competed in the WACPC State Cheerleading Championship Saturday, February 19, and for the first time since 2002, took home the state title in the Medium Varsity division! This is an incredible and exciting win for the team.
The Varsity team also took home second place in the Game Day Large division, a routine that highlights elements of a Game Day setting, which is a fantastic result only having competed in this style of routine for the second year.
The team is coached by Gabrielle Kolz and Emilie Goldbach, both of whom are Falls alumni. These athletes practice two-to-three times a week, along with cheering at football and basketball games, and competing in local competitions around the state during the season – all while juggling schoolwork, extracurriculars, and for some, other sports/activities.
The team traveled to Orlando in February to compete in the UCA National HS Cheerleading Championship. The coaches are extremely proud of this group for such an amazing accomplishment and can’t wait to get the next season started.
