Steve Simon providing opportunity for Weston youth to participate in flag football

WESTON, Mass. — Steve Simon, President of Weston Flag Football, has been working as part of the Weston community for years. He was an integral part of the community’s soccer success in the late 90s, winning four back-to-back championships for Weston girls soccer. He has now started a wonderful opportunity for young athletes to build skills transferable to any sport through the flag football program. It is a wonderful opportunity for the community children to come out and play, having fun while still learning and growing as young athletes.

From kindergarten to 8th grade, the Weston Flag Football program is running this Spring (March 6th – April 10th) on Sundays from 2-7:30pm, divided into particular time blocks based on age, on Procter Field. In the more competitive Fall season, flag football runs two or three days per week; however, in the Spring, Weston Flag Football offers one day per week training in order to cater to the athlete who is participating in multiple Spring sports and/or to the young athlete just wanting to try a new sport. Weston Flag Football prioritizes the fun, while developing the skills necessary to play flag football.
